just evidence.
The Rock
Plays few hands, mostly checks and calls, rarely bluffs. Bets usually mean a strong hand.
Respect their bets. Steal their blinds.
Muckraker keeps a record on everyone at your home game, then tells you what to bet. Sources: every hand they played.
Every hand
A whole night of poker, logged one tap at a time, and a straight answer every time it’s your move.
Each time a player folds, calls or raises, you log it with one thumb, in about the time it takes to glance down. Muckraker follows the button round the table and lights up whoever acts next.
The pot, the side pots and every stack keep their own count. Tap the wrong thing and you correct it, without erasing a thing.
Every hand is evidence. After each one, Muckraker updates every player’s file and tells you how solid the read is. Cards you saw count. Claims don’t.
The maths is already done: the pot, the price to call, your chances, and every bet size in rupees.
Muckraker’s advice model weighs it all against everyone’s file and your goal for the night, then picks one move.
The whole game lives on your phone. If the advice can’t be reached, you get the app’s own maths, clearly labelled.
Your friends know it’s on the table. That’s the deal.
The table
Set up the night once: who’s sitting where, the blinds, the buy-ins and the smallest chip in play. Two to eight seats.
From then on the ring follows the button round the table and lights up whoever acts next. You tap what they did. Side pots, all-ins and every stack work themselves out.
The whole game lives on your phone, so a dead signal at the table changes nothing.
Case files
Every player at your table ends up in one of four files. Until there’s enough evidence, they stay Unknown.
After every hand, Muckraker weighs what each player did and blends it into their file over time, so one wild hand doesn’t brand anyone a maniac.
Each file says how solid the read is. What a player claims they had never counts. Only cards you actually saw.
Plays few hands, mostly checks and calls, rarely bluffs. Bets usually mean a strong hand.
Respect their bets. Steal their blinds.
Plays few hands but bets and raises them hard. Disciplined, and bluffs selectively.
The hardest opponent. Avoid marginal spots against them.
Plays many hands, bets and raises often, bluffs a lot. Bets frequently mean a weak hand.
Call down lighter. Let them bluff into you.
Plays many hands, calls far more than raises, rarely folds or bluffs.
Never bluff them. Bet your strong hands for value.
The advice
When the action is on you, Muckraker’s advice model picks one move: the action, the amount in rupees, and how strongly it rates every option.
If the top two are nearly tied, that’s a close spot, and you see both. Take either one; neither counts as going against the advice.
No signal? You get the app’s own maths instead, clearly labelled as such.
Set a profit goal before the first hand. Your buy-ins plus that goal make your target stack, and how far you are from it sets how much risk the advice takes. A rebuy raises the target, and you can override the mode from the game menu.
Two to eight. Pick players from your roster or add new ones, then set the seating order.
Busted? Buy back in for the original amount between hands, or sit out and rejoin later.
Went against the advice? One tap says why: bluff, read, gut or misclick. It goes in the log.
Log what you actually saw at showdown, even a single card. What players claim never counts.
Every game is a log that’s only ever added to, so a fix is a correction, not an erasure.
Spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs each get their own colour, and never blur together in dim light.
When the night ends: everyone’s net result, rebuys counted, ready before the chips are put away.
A note from the editor
Muckraker is for home games where everyone knows it’s on the table. Using it where phones or outside help aren’t allowed, in casinos, tournaments or online rooms, is cheating, and it breaks our terms.
It never touches money, either. Every rupee in it is a record you typed in.
